I shared this post with our Health and Fitness Group:
“Let’s talk about non-scale victories! I think it’s a great to CELEBRATE right now because EVERYONE has made progress.
If you just started this journey, using a journal to write down your non-scale victories would be awesome! Has anyone done this? Too often we work so hard to attain a goal but then don’t celebrate when we get there. We must celebrate!
It’s really important to recognize and celebrate our non-scale victories. As you know the scale is not everything and it DOES NOT define us. Can we take time today to write down our non – scale victories. Try to fill a list of 10 things you can do now that you couldn’t do before you started this Challenge.
I can start a few for you:
- Following my meal plan
- Making time to work out
- Increasing weights in my workouts
- Are you pants fitting any looser or better?
- You have more energy because you are eating better, drinking Shakeology and working out.
- You aren’t having to do as many modifications in your workouts.
- You’re not giving up!
- Saying no to dessert or whatever it is that is being offered that you know is not on your meal plan
- Being a good role model to your family and friends
- Staying accountable! Checking in with your coach and the group to help stay on track.
- Have you found a day of the week that works for you to meal prep and plan?
I thought it was important to celebrate YOU today! Keep up your hard work! We are so proud of you!! Please comment below with any non-scale victories you’d like to share with the group so we can help celebrate!”
Here is what people shared about their non-scale victories. Aren’t these amazing?:
For me one of the biggest NSVs continues to be being able to fit into clothes I had been keeping but never thought I would fit back into!!
Our household was taken down with a virus for the last two weeks and instead of just settling back into not exercising after not being able to for two weeks, I started back up the first possible day and am getting past the set backĀ :)”
“My NSV is being able to veer away from following modified Kat this week during my workouts! I integrated weights and routines are getting easier!”
My newest NSV is being able to run multiple miles after not running since last summer/early fall. It just shows me how strong my legs have gotten!!
I forgot to share my NSV…I would have to say the way my clothes fit and the daily choices I’ve been making. I’ve gotten so much better staying on track!!
More energy and this is the longest I’ve stayed on track exercising on a regular basis. In the past if I missed even a day or two it would eventually lead into more until I just quit. Now I feel bad when I miss a workout and look forward to pushing the play button most days
My NSV is that I’ve stuck with IM:30. I was only about doing weights with 21 day fix and 21 day fix extreme but I went out of my comfort zone and I love this program!! I’ve stuck with it everyday!
NSV- clothes are looser and I’ve been feeling healthy <3
I feel accomplished….even though it’s a work in progress! I love that I decided to work the plan, and now get up everyday at 5am to enjoy my time/my exercise. I haven’t strayed from working out and I feel proud of that!
For me I think one of the biggest NSV I have experienced is how much better my clothes have been fitting. In fact a few weeks ago I was able to fit into a dress that I never imagined I would ever be able to wear again and almost donated last year as I felt it was useless to keep!! There have been soo many more but this the one that stand out since it is my most recent!!
I was going to say the same thing. I love the way my clothes fit! I actually had to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe!! I used to dread picking out an outfit in the morning and now I love trying new things on!!
Love this post!! And if you are newer to this journey, hang in there! Work the program….the NSV will start coming! For me, I like the energy I have gained with the healthier lifestyle. And definitely enjoy trying on clothes and having them be too big!! Woohoo
I find that I have more energy at work. Recently, I worked a 10 hour day on accident. Hello, who accidentally works longer than necessary? This Beachbody chic. I am more creative and productive at work and home. I love that!
