I admit this last week was challenging! In fact, for me it was the hardest of the previous  2 weeks. We took out a starchy carb this week, so that means no starchy carbs at all and the workout duration increased as well as the intensity increased. I noticed this made me feel more tired this week. I also traveled to the lake with my family for the weekend.
I actually view traveling as a fun challenge not as something that can’t be done. I think it’s harder to stay on track at home but while out of the house I tend to do much better. So much of that comes from my mindset. I think so often people think that when they go on vacation they can just “let go” in all areas. But, the truth is I find staying on “track” to really help me feel better, sleep better and my stomach thanks me too.
So, in my mind, it’s so much more worth it to just “keep going”. Keeping up with my nutrition also gives me energy and makes me feel better so I’m a nicer mom who has energy to play with her girls. 🙂
Some NSV’s (Non-Scale Victories) for me throughout this program:
* Upped my weights from 10 – 15 lbs.
* Woke up earlier to get my 45 minute workouts in before the girls woke up
* Feel stronger
* Tummy tighter
* Pants fit better
* Sleep has been great
* Tummy feeling good from good food
* Sense of accomplishment of working hard on my fitness and nutrition, even with the busyness of Summer and fun activities
All in all, I could have done better the last week but it’s all about progress not perfection. I’m happy with the program overall and really glad I did this program with a group of supportive women!
